Job Summary
The Continuing Professional Development and Medical Education (CPDME) unit is responsible for providing leadership in medical education and research for faculty, physicians, other health care providers and community-based physicians. Reporting to the Managing Director, CPDME, the Program Coordinator will coordinate the accreditation process for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the College of Family Physicians of Canada, submitted to CPDME for accreditation and any issues/queries that arise from these accreditations.

Key Responsibilities
Address a wide range of queries concerning accreditation, following up on and redirecting queries as appropriate.
Identify and distribute appropriate accreditation forms based on program information provided. Ensure all required forms are returned and correctly filled in, requesting missing information and/or clarification as required, for review and approval by the appropriate Director. Maintain files for each accreditation.
Process and track invoices for program fees, and follow-up for late payments.
Create program records and record attendance for accredited programs. Create and modify physician records in the database. Prepare and disseminate certificates of attendance as required. Troubleshoot database issues as required.
Support CPDME activities including developing monthly ads for Doctors NS publications regarding upcoming CPDME activities; updating the CPDME website, and providing conference support such as on-site and registration support.

Note
The successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (combination of in-person work on campus and remote work) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines.

Qualifications
Business/Office Administration diploma with approximately three to five years’ related work experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience) is required. Ideally the successful candidate will have work experience in a university environment. Strong attention to detail, time management, and multi-tasking and organizational skills are essential. Demonstrated strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills are required. Must be proficient in MS office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and database maintenance with the proven ability to learn new software.
