Position: Field Project Manager/Supervisor
Purpose:
Looking for a team fit first and foremost, we are a smaller Civil Engineering consultant based in Saskatoon. Our works take us all over Saskatchewan performing construction administration works within the Saskatchewan Highways realm. Our work season is very much a rollercoaster so we are looking for someone that enjoys the ride.
Position Summary:
Includes contract administration, stakeholder communication, quantity calculations, and construction supervision/inspection. Must be comfortable both in an office environment and in the field.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Leading and supervising project teams including, survey crews, and materials technicians in support of the project
- Administration of project deliverables
- Participating in RFP/RFQ development
- Preparing of project-related reports, memos, and letters
- Review of quality assurance test results and survey calculations to company and client quality standards
- Assist in developing health and safety plans, project budgets, and schedules
- Executing projects in compliance with Quality Management System procedures, communicate with team and client, reconcile financials, and complete final documentation requirements for project close-out
- Maintaining current knowledge of leading-edge project management practices
- Ensuring environmental and safety legislative requirements are being followed
- Liaising with stakeholders and the client at times
- Maintaining knowledge of Ministry standards, specifications, and testing standards
Preferred Qualifications
- Diamond in the rough, needle in the haystack.... Looking for someone as comfortable in front of computer as they are being surrounded by dust and rock trucks
- Quick thinking and ability to go with the flow
- Preferred minimum of 5 years’ experience on infrastructure related projects
- Possession of a valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Drivers License
- A sound knowledge of engineering design principles with a demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering plans and specifications
- Experience in design and CAD drafting of transportation infrastructure projects with a solid understanding of AutoCAD and Civil 3D an asset
- Infrastructure construction site experience with a willingness to work on-site in a construction environment

- Commitment to a team environment with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Supervise projects
- Knowledge of Saskatchewan Ministry of Highways project requirements
- We work in all seasons, in stressful environments, some projects last a week, some last 6 months, understanding of the environment we work in and the ability to go with the flow and be a team player is number 1
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
