Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Kitchen Hand to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, maintain cleanliness, and support the kitchen staff to ensure smooth restaurant operations. This role is perfect for individuals with a passion for the food industry and a commitment to food safety standards. Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly to support chefs and kitchen staff
- Handle food safely and hygienically, adhering to all food safety regulations
- Support cooking activities as directed by the kitchen team
- Ensure proper storage of ingredients and supplies
- Help with general kitchen duties such as restocking supplies and organizing workstations
- Follow all health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
Experience
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is advantageous but not required
- Familiarity with food handling, meal preparation, and cooking processes is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards within the food industry is beneficial
- Experience in serving or supporting food service operations will be considered an asset
- Willingness to learn new skills and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
