We are seeking an experienced, full-time Senior Environmental Specialist– Mining to join our team of professionals. The ideal candidate will have an education in environmental/biological sciences or environmental engineering with demonstrated experience in environmental assessment and regulatory management within the BC mining sector.
This position is primarily office based in one of our main offices such as North Vancouver, Prince George, Terrace, Chilliwack, Cranbrook, Penticton, Williams Lake, or Fort St. John, and remote placement may also be considered, depending on the candidate. Periodic travel can be expected for client meetings or field assignments.
As a subject matter expert, you will play a key role in providing strategic regulatory advice and support to mining clients during all stages of mining project life cycle (exploration, project development, operations, and care-and-maintenance), help lead a team of skilled professionals, in-training professionals, and technicians; and support a variety of other environmental projects across various market sectors and environmental disciplines. This position plays a critical role in our organizational growth and development strategy, and the ideal candidates will have strong leadership capabilities and extensive experience in managing field-based projects and integrating inputs from multi-disciplinary technical teams to support environmental assessments, regulatory applications, and management plans.
Compensation: The pay range for this position is $50–$80 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
