We are currently looking for an experienced and dependable AZ/DZ Truck Driver to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate AZ/DZ trucks, including tandem and/or tri-axle dump trucks
- Transport asphalt, aggregate, stone, and other construction materials to and from job sites
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and ensure the truck is maintained in safe operating condition
- Load and unload materials safely and efficiently
- Follow all Ministry of Transportation (MTO) requirements and company safety procedures
- Maintain accurate daily logs, inspection reports, and required documentation
- Communicate professionally with customers, suppliers, dispatch, and the paving crew
- Assist the crew with general labour duties when required
- Keep the truck clean and properly maintained
- Operate equipment in a safe and responsible manner
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Perform other duties as required by management
Qualifications
- Valid AZ or DZ driver's licence
- Clean driver's abstract
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred
- Experience with dump trucks and construction materials is an asset
- Previous asphalt/paving or construction experience is an asset
- Knowledge of MTO regulations and daily vehicle inspection requirements
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Must be physically capable of performing general labour duties when required
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
