Job Description:
The Research Assistant 1 will:
Conduct online research about Black teachers in Montreal and assist with report preparation and dissemination of emerging findings
Assist with REB application process
Work with Principal Investigator and team to develop relevant system for presenting research data
Assist with analysis of archival data
Attend team meetings (virtual)
Communicate with other RAs
Opportunity to assist the Principal Investigator and national research team to prepare interim presentations and reports
Work with undergraduate RA to prepare social media and other research output
Assist with preparations for knowledge mobilization events and activities
Qualifications Required (skills and abilities, education, language skills):
Strong knowledge of theoretical and methodological frameworks of Black radical tradition/thought and/or decolonial thought and/or Critical Theory/Critical Race Theory
Fluently bilingual (French-English)
Excellent written, communication, organizational, and collaboration/teamwork skills
Awareness of community-based and participatory research methodologies. Experience in such projects or working with Black communities an asset
Experience using NVivo qualitative analysis software an asset.

Hourly rate: $30.54/hr
