Your role
The National Retail Sales Manager is responsible for developing and driving retail execution excellence across Canada. This role will lead the Quebec‑based Retail Sales Team through direct people leadership, while providing national oversight and performance management of third‑party field partners across the rest of Canada. The manager will be accountable for translating customer and brand strategies into effective in‑store execution and measurable business results.
The selected candidate will bring a passion for talent development and the ability to create alignment between internal teams and external partners. They will ensure that field teams focus on the right priorities and deliver tangible results nationwide.
This position is based at our downtown Montréal office, in a hybrid work model, in close proximity to field teams
What you will accomplish daily

Work closely with the Sales team and cross‑functional partners to set execution priorities, build field capabilities, identify opportunities, and drive measurable improvements in retail execution and commercial performance.

Influence and coach external partners responsible for retail sales across the rest of Canada by establishing clear priorities, expectations, and performance standards.

Establish national KPIs and execution standards for distribution, displays, shelf presence, merchandising, and promotional execution.

Monitor national and regional performance, identify execution gaps, and implement action plans to improve sales results and execution KPIs.

Collaborate with account managers, commercial strategy, and cross‑functional teams to translate strategies into clear and actionable field priorities.

Leverage customer and internal data to assess national execution and identify opportunities.

Foster collaborative partnerships to achieve shared objectives and ensure essential field insights are communicated to internal teams, customers, and cross‑functional partners.

Regularly review partner performance, identify improvement opportunities, and support the development of action plans.

Ensure partners have the tools, capabilities, and direction required to meet expectations.

Ensure field teams provide timely and relevant insights: customer opportunities, competitive activity, distribution, merchandising, out‑of‑stocks, and other market conditions.

Build a strong two‑way dialogue between field teams and the broader organization.

Translate field insights into actionable recommendations to influence commercial and customer strategies.
What you need to join our team

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
-
Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in sales, including direct team management.
-
Demonstrated ability to lead teams, influence cross‑functional partners, and drive business execution.

Experience in CPG and/or retail sales in Canada (asset).
-
Bilingualism (French and English).
-
Valid driver’s license.
