Job Summary:
Under the supervision of Arena Manager, the Arena Operator/Outdoor Facility Maintainer monitors the daily
operation of the facility and sports fields’ maintenance as required. She/he maintains grounds and playing area of
facilities, operates equipment to maintain the facility and the sports field, as required and performs checks and minor
maintenance on equipment. She/he assists with employee training and provides in-service to staff on proper use of
equipment. She/he monitors operation and maintains the ice rink. She/he assists with scheduling and assigns task as
required. She/he greets visitors, establishes nature of business and directs them to appropriate area or person.
She/he responds to inquiries. She/he monitors junior employees, as required. She/he reports unusual conditions or
unserviceable equipment to the supervisor. She/he monitors equipment usage, proper storage and provides report to
supervisor. She/he floods the rink surface at specified intervals using Zamboni, maintains good ice conditions by
scraping, shovelling, brushing and hosing the ice and operates the edger to level out ice along the boards.

College diploma or certificate in Facility Management, Resource Management, or in a related field AND some years
experience in a related field
High school diploma, AND some experience in related field
A acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience will also be considered
Current CPR and basic First Aid qualifications
Valid driver’s license class G (Quebec)

Salary: $15,22/hr - $18,43/hr

Conditions of Employment:
Rotating, day, evening and weekend hours.
