The Role at NFP
Our Ontario Commercial Lines operation has an immediate need to add a Producer to the Transportation division. We're looking for a strong team player to leverage their industry knowledge & experience to provide a best-in-class client experience providing customized business solutions that will protect, comfort and recover, providing our clients with peace of mind.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Identify & build a pipeline of quality Transportation & Trucking leads through referrals and other prospecting techniques (such as making 30 outbound calls per day)
Develop submissions (in conjunction with commercial lines underwriting staff) to markets that will meet the present/emerging needs of the client and close the sale
Quote between 40 and 60 prospects per month, or as needed to meet production plan following all quality control and underwriting procedures established by NFP
Positive and negative endorsements in the first year are credited to the producer's account. Any cancellations within the first year are charged back
Hand-off responsibility for the provision of service to clients to the relevant Account Manager in the service teams
When appropriate to the maintenance of good customer service, field customer service requests (especially post-sale of one’s clients), and ensure the completion by oneself, or by referral to a Client Manager
Actively participate in team meetings related to the role;

What You Bring
Typically, 4+ year(s) business-to-consumer or business sales experience
Passion for sales; committed to delivering a top-notch client experience
Self-managing with strong analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills with attention to the details
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Strong team player with the ability to adapt to and collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Strong computer skills
Certificates, Licenses, Registration:
Valid RIBO License is a must
Professional insurance designation preferred (such as CAIB, CIP, CRM, etc.)
