Job Description

As a Digital Content Writer, you are a key member of the TD Securities Digital Marketing & Communications Team. You're a great story teller, experienced with creating compelling and engaging content across a range of formats, including website copy, thought leadership articles, blog posts, social media content, script writing and product / sales information. You're comfortable discussing your work with a range of stakeholders, and maintaining a cohesive tone and voice is second nature to you. You challenge old ways of thinking and put the client at the center of everything you do.

Responsibilities
  • Create concise, engaging and compelling copy/editorial across a range of media, including: website copy, blog posts, social media content, banners, thought leadership articles, script writing, and product / sales information.
  • Collaborate with marketing, digital, creative and business leaders to understand the business objectives, product features and benefits that drive content strategy.
  • Edit / rewrite existing copy.
  • Develop knowledge of business vernacular and tone, and deliver copy with a voice that is consistent on all projects. Vary tone, language and messaging based on medium, target audience and product while maintaining the brand voice.
  • Analyze readership data to evaluate communication effectiveness and inform future strategy.
  • Effectively manage relationships with peers and colleagues within the TD Securities Client Strategies, Programs and Communications team, as well as with other TD business and corporate areas to ensure that communications address all stakeholder needs.
  • Stay abreast of current business trends.
Perform site updates and maintenance via a content management system (e.g. Wordpress, Adobe AEM, OpenText, etc.) as necessary

Job Requirements

Exceptional writing and interviewing skills.
Experience with keyword placement and SEO strategy.
Excellent time management skills, with a high energy level and strong anticipatory skills.
Superior attention to detail and organizational skills, with a proven ability to juggle multiple concurrent projects, ensuring deliverables are achieved on time, while maintaining the highest standards.
Strong judgment skills with a demonstrated ability to critically examine issues from multiple angles to recommend a solution.
Track record of consistently delivering high quality work under pressure; able to work within tight time frames while maintaining a positive attitude.
Qualifications
Minimum three years of relevant experience.
Undergraduate degree with a specialty in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English or related discipline.
Nice-to-haves
Capital markets industry experience an asset.
Familiarity with Agile Project Methodology and experience using JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Teams, Adobe Creative Suite, Salesforce Pardot, etc.) considered a plus.
French language skills
