We are currently hiring experienced Overhead Crane/Forklift Operator to work with our client, a premiere supplier of carbon steel parts-to-print.
Must be mechanically inclined, have experience working in a steel manufacturing or heavy fabrication environment, and have overhead crane and forklift experience.
Must have strong work ethic, good mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read and follow drawings and instructions.
Location: Brampton – Orenda and West Drive

Currently hiring for the following shift:
Night Shift: Sunday through Thursday 11:00PM-7:00AM
Pay Rate $22.00 per hour + $1.00 night shift premium
Overhead Crane/Forklift Operator
EXPERINCE AND REQUIREMENTS
- Bridge/overhead crane experience
- Experience with handling any of the following: steel coils, slabs, beams, plate, scrap, pipes/tubing, metal, structural steel (I-beams, etc), machinery, lumber bundles, etc.
- Experience with the following attachments: magnets, vacuum lifter, horizontal and vertical clamps, chain slings, hooks.
- Tonnage of cranes: 5-10 ton cranes minimum
- Comply with the Rights & Responsibilities for All Employees listed in the Employee Handbook.
- Identify and locate materials by customer, thickness, size, grade, and other characteristics.
- Plan and carry out material movement based on established schedules and/or instructions from Supervisor.
- Maintain regular communication with others regarding material movement requirements.
- Load/unload trucks and trailers as needed.
- Maintain inventory and material location databases.
- Perform required equipment, safety, and quality inspections.
- Generate NCR (non-conformance report) for plates that are not to standard.
- Complete necessary paperwork when required.
- Demonstrate safe work habits at all times.
- Perform basic equipment maintenance and report maintenance issues as needed.
- Maintain an organized work area.
- Clean Criminal Background check
- Professional Reference
- Overhead Crane License - (In house or external accepted)
- Counterbalance Forklift License
