Join a High-Communication, Patient-Centered Dental Team
Dentistry at Frederick is seeking an experienced Dental Receptionist who excels in clear, confident, and professional patient communication. This role is ideal for someone who is articulate, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced, patient-facing environment where communication quality directly impacts the patient experience and practice success.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Patient Communication (Core to Success in This Role)
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients in person and over the phone with a high level of professionalism and clarity.
- Confidently explain appointments, treatment flow, and next steps in clear, and fluent manner.
- Manage patient questions, concerns, and scheduling conflicts with professionalism and strong verbal reasoning.
- Proactively confirm and fill appointments using phone, text, and email with a focus on reducing gaps and no-shows.
Scheduling & Practice Flow
- Manage and maintain a productive, fully booked schedule aligned with production goals using Dentrix.
- Actively manage cancellations, same-day openings, and emergency appointments.
- Drive re-care and overdue patient reactivation through consistent follow-up.
Administrative & Compliance
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in Dentrix.
- Process billing and ensure correct coding.
- Ensure compliance with RCDSO standards and Ontario IPAC protocols.
- Protect patient confidentiality at all times.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3 years of dental reception experience (required).
- Demonstrated strength in verbal communication — clear, confident, and professional English is essential and mandatory
- Ability to handle high call volumes while maintaining composure and clarity.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Dentrix or similar dental software.
- Solid understanding of dental terminology, scheduling, and patient flow.
- Knowledge of Ontario IPAC and RCDSO requirements.
- CPR and First Aid Certification.
Compensation
- Up to $31/hour, based on experience and demonstrated communication ability.
