All Terrain Property Maintenance Inc is hiring a Horticultural (Garden) Crew Leader to support horticulture maintenance across a diverse portfolio of properties including condominiums, apartments, commercial sites, and estate homes.
This is a working leadership role for someone with strong plant knowledge and hands-on horticulture experience who is confident leading a crew in the field.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
As a Crew Leader, you will:
- Lead your crew day-to-day on active job sites and report directly to the Supervisor
- Conduct morning huddles (safety, plan, expectations) and organize daily workflow
- Execute and oversee bed and landscape maintenance, including:
- Weeding, edging, mulching, cultivating
- Pruning and detail work
- Planting and plant care
- Site cleanups and seasonal resets (spring and fall can be higher-volume)
- Identify plant health concerns including stress, pests, disease, improper planting, and watering issues
- Use good judgment to decide what can be corrected on site versus what should be escalated
- Monitor quality control and crew productivity through repeat check-ins
- Coach and train crew members in safe and proper techniques, including giving clear corrections when needed
- Ensure equipment care, proper load-out, and fleet and vehicle checks are completed, escalate issues as required
- Interact professionally with clients when required
- This role requires ownership. You are accountable for jobsite organization, site presentation, work quality, safety compliance, crew productivity, and maintaining clear communication with your Supervisor.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong plant identification skills and plant health troubleshooting knowledge
- Previous experience leading a landscaping or horticulture crew (or acting as the on-site lead)
- Ability to read and execute work orders accurately
- Confidence coaching and correcting team members in the field
- Strong attention to detail and pride in high-quality presentation
- Comfortable working outdoors in changing weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license (only if required for vehicle operation)
- Formal horticulture education is considered an asset
