Duties
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and safety standards, ensuring quality and freshness.
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Micros POS to process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Take customer orders at the counter or drive-thru with a friendly attitude, providing excellent service from start to finish.
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while maintaining accountability for register balances.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, dining areas, and kitchen equipment in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Upsell menu items by suggesting additional products or combos to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
- Assist in food industry tasks such as food safety practices, proper food handling, and adhering to sanitation standards to ensure a safe environment for all.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, serving, or food industry roles with a strong understanding of restaurant operations.
- Familiarity with POS systems like Micros POS for efficient transaction processing.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks swiftly during busy periods.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with guests.
- Knowledge of food handling procedures, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, change calculation, and order totals.
- Experience in cashiering or cash handling within a restaurant or retail setting is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Kitchen experience or restaurant experience is advantageous for understanding food prep and safety protocols.
