The opportunity

We are looking for a “Manager – Business Analyst” within the group “Financial Crime Canada”. In the context of anti-money laundering, terrorist financing and fraud, this group works with clients to improve their ability to use and interpret their data in transactional, money movement and risk assessment contexts.

This allows our clients better decision-making support, a strong foothold in a changing industry and a better positioning regarding their regulatory obligations.

Our group “Financial Crime Canada” provides expertise and services in the following areas of expertise:

Business Recommendation: Tactical planning of the business strategy, orientation of the requirements, maximization of the leverage effects, valorization of the data…
Analytics and conceptualization: business pitch, vision support, goal support, needs determination…

Your main responsibilities

As a manager, you will use your knowledge and experience to support the implementation of projects related to the fight against financial crime, mainly through the impact of payments flows on our clients. Our success is due to the combination of high-performing team members and diversified expertise.

Specifically, the following responsibilities will be assigned to you:

Supervise and validate the work of the analysis teams involved in your analysis mandates maximizing the reuse of data
Supervise and validate the work of the analysis teams involved in your data management and integration mandates
Act as an advisor on the implementation of specialized solutions in data processing
Ensure the quality of project delivery and represent the project team in front of clients

Skills and qualities to succeed

Ability to communicate ideas clearly (both orally and in writing)
Ability to provide excellent customer service and build strong relationships, both internally and externally
Ability to be autonomous in large companies (financial institution more specifically)
Be versatile, rigorous and curious
Love teamwork
Have ten years of experience in business analysis
Have completed various complex mandates in different roles

To be eligible for this position, you must have

A bachelor’s degree in Business administration or a related discipline and more than ten years of experience in a related field. A master’s degree is an asset.
Proven work experience including stakeholder management
Three to five years of experience in the design and implementation of business process improvement or data valorization projects
Experience in project management and quality assurance
Interest in the field of payments
Demonstrate strong technical problem-solving skills
Knowledge of French and English

Ideally, you also have

Consulting experience
Experience with Power BI
Experience in Anti-Money Laundering/Terrorist Financing, Fraud and Other Financial Crimes
Experience in domestic and international payments
