Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Dispatcher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating transportation and logistics operations, ensuring that shipments are processed efficiently and effectively. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to analyze data to optimize supply chain processes.
Duties
- Coordinate and schedule shipments with carriers and customers to ensure timely delivery.
- Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and software such as AFM and Motive for tracking shipments and managing logistics.
- Analyze shipping data to identify trends, improve efficiency, and reduce costs within the supply chain.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal teams to relay information regarding shipment status.
- Manage shipping and receiving documentation, ensuring accuracy in all records.
- Maintain a high level of phone etiquette while handling inquiries from clients and partners.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a dispatch or logistics role is preferred.
- Familiarity with supply chain management principles is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes is a plus.
