The Travel Agent Next Door is Canada’s largest host agency supporting the retail travel industry, specializing in the home-based travel agent, medium to small size agencies, and agencies that would like to start their own home-based business. About the Role
We are currently seeking a Marketing Associate to join our team. This role is ideal for a well-rounded marketer with strong social media expertise, hands-on experience across multiple marketing channels, and a solid understanding of the travel industry.
The ideal candidate is a creative, organized, and proactive self-starter who brings a passion for travel, exceptional communication and design skills, and the ability to execute across a wide range of marketing functions. This role requires someone who can balance both strategic thinking and hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment.
This individual will play a key role in supporting and delivering integrated marketing initiatives across social media, digital, email, web, and partner marketing, acting as a true marketing generalist.
They must be able to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and maintain a friendly and professional communication style, both written and verbal.
Role Responsibilities
- Support the planning and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social, email, and web channels
- Assist in developing and implementing marketing strategies that align with business and sales objectives
- Contribute to content planning, campaign calendars, and cross-channel marketing initiatives
- Create and execute consumer-facing email campaigns that support marketing and sales goals
- Social media management to create, schedule, and publish engaging content aligned with brand voice and campaign goals
- Monitor and respond to customer engagement, comments, and inquiries in a timely manner
- Track, analyze, and report on social media performance, optimizing for growth and engagement
- Stay current with trends, tools, and platform updates to continuously evolve social strategy
- Manage website content, including daily monitoring, updates, and optimization
- Ensure content accuracy, consistency, and alignment with brand standards
- Develop newsletters, social media toolkits, and marketing resources for travel agent partners
- Deliver training webinars and provide ongoing support for partner marketing needs
- Help travel agent partners enhance their own social media and digital presence
- Drive supplier growth though marketing channels while maintain their brand consistency
- Maintain a strong visual identity and ensure brand consistency across all channels
- Provide regular updates, reporting, and insights to the Director of Marketing
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience in a Marketing Associate level role
- Diploma or degree in business or marketing
- Proven experience in digital marketing, communications, newsletters, copywriting, and/or brand management across B2B and B2C segments.
- Travel industry experience, with a solid understanding of travel suppliers, and consumer travel trends.
- Strong knowledge of the social media landscape, including platform-specific strategies, content creation (advanced), analytics, and metrics-driven reporting.
- Advanced technology skills: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Canva, and the ability to learn new tools quickly.
- Intermediate skills in Google analytics and interpreting data
- Ability to manage multiple brands and projects simultaneously, balancing deadlines and priorities.
- Experience delivering training webinars, presentations, or digital learning sessions.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, plus a friendly and engaging telephone manner.
- Eagerness to learn, expand skillsets, and take on new responsibilities as the business evolves.
- Website management experience is considered an asset.
