Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Floral Clerk to join our team at our flower shop. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our valued customers, ensuring they receive top-notch service and personalized assistance with their floral needs. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a passion for flowers and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering inquiries, and assisting with product selection.
- Take phone and in-person orders for flowers, arrangements, and gift items.
- Process payments, handle cash and online transactions
- Assist in maintaining an organized, clean, and welcoming store environment.
- Help with inventory management, including receiving and stocking fresh flowers and supplies.
- Support floral design team with preparation of materials and deliveries.
- Assist customers with product recommendations and provide guidance on flower care.
- Collaborate with the team to achieve sales goals and promote seasonal specials.
- Perform light physical tasks, including carrying up to 35 lbs of flowers, supplies, and other store materials.
- Maintain a positive, professional demeanor when handling customer concerns or complaints.
- Assist with store opening and closing procedures.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in customer service or retail is preferred, but not required.
- Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task in a busy environment.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive, friendly attitude and strong work ethic.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with the role.
- Flexibility with work hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
- Basic knowledge of floral arrangements or a willingness to learn is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Must be able to work as part of a close-knit team and contribute to a family-oriented atmosphere.
Pay: $17.60-$21.00 per hour
