About the Role
BarrierBoss Fencing is looking for a creative, organized self-starter to build and manage our presence across social media, our website, and other various platforms. You'll be behind the camera and behind the keyboard — capturing our products, our shop, and our team, and turning that into content that gets attention. This is a hands-on, entry-level role with a lot of room to shape the position as you grow into it.
What You'll Do
- Plan, shoot, and edit photo and short-form video content (Instagram, Facebook, and similar platforms)
- Write captions and manage posting schedules
- Update and maintain content on our company website
- Visit the shop floor and job sites to capture behind-the-scenes and product content
- Track what's working (engagement, reach) and adjust content based on results
What We're Looking For
- Comfortable with a camera (phone or basic equipment) and confident telling a visual story
- Familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, and basic photo/video editing tools (e.g., Canva, CapCut, Adobe apps)
- Strong writing skills — clear, engaging, and typo-free
- Self-directed — able to plan a content calendar and follow through without close supervision
- Comfortable being on-site in West Kelowna and occasionally on job sites or in the shop
- No formal experience required — this is an entry-level role. A portfolio, personal social accounts, or school projects showing your work are welcome but not mandatory
