Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable team member to assist with garden installation and maintenance projects. This role is ideal for someone interested in landscaping, horticulture, or landscape architecture who wants to gain hands-on, real-world experience.
You’ll work on a variety of outdoor projects and develop practical skills in plant installation, garden construction, and site preparation. We are looking for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes initiative, and is eager to learn and grow in the field.

Primary Duties
- Remove weeds and invasive plants from garden beds
- Install and distribute mulch and other landscape materials
- Plant flowers, shrubs, and small trees according to design plans
- Read and interpret basic construction details and measurements
- Assist with operating small equipment (rototillers, leaf blowers, electric hedge trimmers, etc.)
- Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, hand trowels, and secateurs
- Remove excess materials from garden areas (sod, soil, small rocks, and debris)
- Assist with general site preparation and cleanup
Requirements
- Reliable transportation to and from the work location daily (No bus routes near job location)
- Strong communication skills
- Dependable and punctual
- Ability to work extended hours when required
- Comfortable working in varying weather conditions (light rain, heat, wind, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail
- Proactive and willing to take initiative
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid G2 driver’s license
- Previous landscaping or outdoor work experience
- Experience in physically demanding work (e.g., farming, construction, outdoor labour)
- Background or interest in landscape design, horticulture, or landscape architecture
- Flexible availability

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
