IOF Business Furniture is a leading Canadian manufacturer of office and healthcare furniture, proudly designing and building products from our Mississauga facility. We're growing our production team and looking for a skilled CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing operations.
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to operate and maintain CNC machinery used in the production of office and healthcare furniture components.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with panel processing equipment and Homag CNC machines, specifically, Venture 320A & Centatec P110
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC routing/machining equipment to cut, drill, and shape furniture components
- Read and interpret job specs, cut lists, and CAD/CAM programs to ensure accurate production
- Load and unload material, monitor machine cycles, and perform in-process quality checks
- Diagnose and correct machine errors, tool wear, and programming errors
- Perform light service and routine maintenance on CNC equipment, including tool changes and basic troubleshooting
- Identify and report deficiencies or material defects
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with health and safety standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience operating CNC machinery in a wood/panel processing or furniture manufacturing environment
- Direct experience with Homag, Venture, or Centatec CNC equipment strongly preferred
- Strong troubleshooting aptitude to correct machine errors, tool wear, and programming errors
- Ability to perform light service on machines
- Ability to read technical drawings, cut lists, and production schedules
- Basic knowledge of CAD/CAM software an asset
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Physical ability to lift materials and stand for extended periods
- Forklift certification an asset
