Inside Sales Development Manager

Job Objective:

  • Assist in the achievement, and act in support of, the sales of MGM products and into the approved markets in support of the MGM Sales Model and of the MGM Sales Plans in close cooperation with the Outside Sales Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understand the MGM Sales Model.
  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails.
  • Identify and Understand customer needs and requirements
  • Actively qualify leads
  • Route qualified and warm Leads or Opportunities to the appropriate Outside Sales Manager for further development and closure
  • Close sales and achieve quarterly quotas
  • Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest
  • Maintain and expand your CRM database of prospects within your assigned territories
  • Team with channel partners to build pipeline and close deals
  • Perform effective online demos to prospects
  • Drive sales of all MGM products, by developing, identifying, and securing all relevant direct sale opportunities.
  • Serve as internal sales support for pre-defined territories to achieve or exceed assigned KPIs.
  • Partner effectively with the Sales Team to drive territory coverage and maintain positive relationships with all the Customers.
  • Helping Customers in identifying required products in close cooperation with the Technical Team
  • Helping Customers concerning product availability.
  • Use the company CRM for all the communication with customers
  • Enter Sales Orders in the ERP software system (ACCPAC)
  • Duties will include occasional traveling with the intent of sales development and sales support.
  • The Employee is requested to cooperate with the Production Department to understand product feasibility and communicated delivery times.

Cross Functional Responsibilities:

  • Provide Technical and Quality service to MGM customers in all assigned tasks, while upholding to the MGM Sales Model and MGM Quality System (ISO 9000) at all times.
  • Work closely with the other internal team members and Outside Sales Manager and the Technical Team to insure high customer satisfaction.
  • Provide support as required to the Sales Director and Outside Sales Managers.
  • Assist Outside Sales with quotes
  • Stock Checks and send purchasing requisition

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Travel for training meetings, customer site visits, and trade shows.
  • Cover voicemail and email for Inside sales staff while members are on vacation or unable to access their mailbox.
  • Prepare Weekly Sales Report
  • Assist Sales Director for the Weekly and Monthly meetings
  • Assist Sales Director for other tasks
  • Manipulate and manage spreadsheets.
  • Effectively utilize ACCAPC and other company software as instructed within the MGM training program:
  • Actively review Sales Territory Reporting, Open orders and MGM Opportunities.
  • Manage Sales Development by entering and update Leads and Customer Opportunities in the corporate CRM.
  • Create Activities for other departments as assigned by management
  • Create Delivery Notes for the Shipping Department
  • Enter and maintain telephone contact with Outside Sales Manager and direct customers as required or requested
  • Duties will include occasional traveling with the intent of sales development and sales support.

Responsibility and Decision Making Authority:

  • Act independently and decision making within the MGM Sales Model and Sales Plans

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Duties will include occasional traveling with the intent of sales development and sales support. The Employee might be requested to prepare orders for shipping of products to clients, which includes (but not limited to) picking of stock or modifying of stocked products.
  • Sales skills to include demonstrated communication skills. Prior attendance at formal sales training courses considered a strong plus.
  • Organizational skills for proper territory planning/management.
  • Demonstrated record of achievement in prior sales related position preferred. Creativity a plus.
  • Excellent verbal, written and telephone skills supported by strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team structure.
  • Ability to learn and retain technical product specific information as it pertains to the position.
  • Knowledge of Electric Motors and Gearboxes.
  • Computer literacy required;
  • Ability to manipulate and manage spreadsheets.
  • Demonstrate an aptitude of selling Industrial products

Requirements:

  • Must possess at least 2-3 experience in the industry of Industrial Components.
  • Possession of a post-secondary degree in technical studies (or DEP) or Equivalent Experience.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving; ability to determine solutions for customers (consultative sales approach).
  • Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
  • Must possess good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications, CRM software, ERP software.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Languages:

  • French, English, Italian a plus.

Working Hours/Travels:

  • Must be flexible and have ability to work hours as dictated by assigned regional geography and may vary.
  • Occasional evening and weekend work depending on business or customer requirements.

Working Environment:

  • Work usually performed in an office setting.
  • Required to travel from time to time.
  • Travel in support of sales or training meetings, customer site visits, and/or tradeshows as required or requested.

Tools and Equipment Used:

  • Personal Computer, copier, fax, phone, and other typical office equipment or other tools as requested by his supervisor

Travel:

  • Able to travel to customers/team sites as required from time to time (typically 3 or 4 times a year)
