Position: Adult Protective Service Worker
Type: Full-time Permanent Position – 35hrs per week (Evening work may be required)

Role Overview
Reporting to the Clinical Programs Manager, the Adult Protective Service Worker will:
- Provide advocacy, case management, and support services to adults with developmental disabilities living in the community.
- Be available to work one evening per week as needed.
Qualifications
✅ Education: BA/BSW in Social Sciences or relevant college diploma
✅ Advocacy Skills: Ability to support individuals at various cognitive stages
✅ Language: Bilingual (French & English) preferred; unilingual candidates welcome
✅ Experience: Supporting persons and/or families challenged by developmental disabilities
✅ Knowledge:
- Developmental services sector & person-directed planning
- Principles of anti-oppression, inclusion, and advocacy in justice, education, housing, and health
✅ Legislation Familiarity: APSW Guidelines, Persons with Developmental Disabilities Act, Education Act, Landlord and Tenant Act, Mental Health Act, Consent and Capacity Act
✅ Technical Skills: Computer literacy, documentation, organizational skills
✅ Collaboration: Ability to work with teams and external service providers
✅ Other: Valid Ontario driver’s license and access to a vehicle, satisfactory drivers abstract, and the ability to provide a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check as a condition of employment.

Salary
As per the collective agreement (BA/BSW or diploma salary grid).
