Position: Patient Flow Co-ordinator

Hours: 35 hours per week
Salary: $40,279 to $50,349 per annum
Status: Permanent Full Time
As an integral member of the Radiation Therapy department, the Patient Flow Coordinator (PFC) is responsible for the overall processing of patient clinic visits from registration through to follow-up appointments. The PFC will be responsible for the following duties: coordinates the scheduling of patient appointment; transcribes physician orders; books appointments for tests and answers patient queries; handles busy telephone activities; coordinates and facilitates flow of patients through the various stages of their visit; performs reception responsibilities; communicates effectively in person or by telephone with internal and external parties; retrieves charts from Health Records; pulls patient clinic lists for the day and activates patient information in the computer; responsible for orders and stocks supplies and; performs cross-functional duties as assigned or requested; and performs other duties consistent with the job classification, as required.
Performs various reception responsibilities
Coordinates and facilitates the efficient flow of patients through the various stages of their visit
Communicates effectively in person or by telephone with internal and external parties
Coordinates the scheduling of patient appointments
Performs cross-functional and/or other duties consistent with the job classification, as assigned or requested.
Works in compliance of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and its regulations, reporting hazards, deficiencies and contravention’s of the Act, in at timely manner.
At minimum, completion of high school or recognized equivalent
At minimum 1-2 years of practical and related experience and/or on-the-job training required.
Previous experience working in a Health care environment is strongly preferred.
Previous experience working with EPR and other ADT (Admitting, Discharge, & Transfer systems) preferred
Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a requirement of the job unless you have an exemption on a medical ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code.?
