Overview
Outback Lakeside Vacation Homes is seeking a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Attendant to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining our vacation homes and supporting the overall guest experience by ensuring all properties are safe, functional, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and enjoys a variety of maintenance and repair tasks in a hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to maintenance requests from guests and team members in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform routine repairs and maintenance in vacation homes, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, and appliance repairs.
- Complete preventative maintenance inspections and tasks according to established schedules.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment, fixtures, appliances, and building systems.
- Conduct property inspections to identify maintenance concerns and ensure homes meet company standards.
- Perform project work such as painting, pressure washing, carpet cleaning, furniture repair/replacement, and the installation, replacement, and maintenance of property fixtures and equipment.
- Assist with seasonal maintenance activities, including winterization and exterior property upkeep.
- Coordinate with external contractors when specialized repairs are required.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, inspections, and inventory.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company policies and safety standards.
- Support housekeeping and operations teams as needed to ensure homes are guest-ready.
Skills
- Previous maintenance, building maintenance, or property maintenance experience.
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall repair, painting, and general maintenance practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work on ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional on-call shifts as required.
Wage: $25.00 per hour PLUS summer incentive bonus.
Job Type: Seasonal ending October 2026
Schedule: Part Time (20-24 hours per week) - including weekends and holidays
