Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in legal research and preparation of legal documents
- File and organize legal documents and correspondence
- Conduct data entry and maintain accurate records
- Draft and proofread legal documents, including contracts, briefs, and pleadings
- Answer phone calls and provide professional phone etiquette
- Schedule appointments and manage attorney calendars
- Conduct interviews with clients and witnesses for case preparation
- Perform administrative tasks such as photocopying, scanning, and faxing
- Utilize legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Law or related field preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with legal drafting and terminology
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Prior experience in a law firm or legal environment is a plus
- 3 years Civil litigation (Minimum) and Family Law experience required
