Project Coordinator– Solar Racking Systems
Location: Mississauga, ON

Principal Responsibilities/Key Results Areas:
- Support the coordination of the program lifecycle for solar racking systems, including carport, single-axis tracker, and fixed tilt projects.
- Assist in managing project phases from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and supporting cross-functional teams in achieving project goals.
- Track and coordinate project activities across all stages, including concept, feasibility, design, manufacturing, testing, launch, and implementation.
- Review and verify racking design documentation to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
- Coordinate customer requests for drawing updates, design revisions, and engineering changes.
- Support vendor coordination activities, including design, tooling, and parts supply, to help meet cost, quality, and delivery targets.
- Monitor project schedules and follow up with stakeholders to ensure timely execution and adherence to quality standards.
- Assist engineering teams in developing and updating installation and maintenance documentation.
- Provide support for continuous improvement initiatives in product design, manufacturing processes, and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate site visits to solar project locations, support customer communication, and gather field feedback for engineering improvements.
- Support coordination of cross-functional and regional project meetings.
- Track task assignments and help ensure accountability for deadlines and deliverables.
- Assist in planning project timelines, resources, budgets, and execution strategies to meet customer and business objectives.
- Support documentation and communication of changes related to BOMs, tooling, costing, pricing, and process updates across teams and stakeholders.
- Maintain awareness of customer requirements and ensure accurate communication within the project team.
- Support training coordination, onboarding, and development activities for team members.
- Assist in preparing project reports and supporting business development activities where required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Follow all company operational procedures, policies, and Health & Safety requirements in compliance with local regulations.
- Support travel to project sites, meetings, and trade shows as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements::
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Project Management, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- 3–5+ years of experience in project coordination or project management within solar, construction, or related industries.
- Experience supporting solar or infrastructure projects is strongly preferred.
- Understanding of construction processes, project documentation, and coordination with subcontractors is an asset.
- Exposure to cost tracking, scheduling, and basic budget monitoring is preferred.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills with ability to support multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal teams, engineers, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with construction codes, regulations, and site best practices is an asset.
- PMP certification is an asset but not required.
