Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice to join our team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in hair styling, customer service and retail sales within a dynamic and supportive environment.
The Apprentice will work closely with experienced stylists to learn industry best practices, enhance communication skills, and gain hands-on experience.
This role is ideal for individuals passionate about building a career in the beauty industry and eager to grow their expertise.
Responsibilities
- Assist team with clients and services
- Assisting stylists with shampooing, blow-drying, and preparing clients
- Helping with color applications, treatments, styles and client prep
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all work areas, including tools and equipment
- Engage with clients to provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive experience
- Promote retail products through upselling techniques to enhance client satisfaction and sales
- Support team members with daily operational tasks as needed
- Learning techniques and salon systems
- Supporting front-of-house duties when needed — greeting clients, offering refreshments, set up procedure.
Requirements
- Currently in the hair industry, either a graduate or enrolled in a hair program/ academy, or enrolled as an apprentice
- Basic knowledge of hair styling techniques is required; willingness to learn is essential
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Understanding of sanitation standards within a salon environment
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
- Ability to assist with retail sales through upselling and product recommendations
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and follow instructions diligently
- A proactive attitude with a desire to learn and grow within the industry
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Apprenticeship
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
