Unison Security Ltd. is a growing Canadian security services provider supporting clients across British Columbia and other Canadian provinces.
We are looking for a dependable and highly organized Security Operations Coordinator to support our day-to-day operations in British Columbia. This is a hands-on position requiring strong communication, problem-solving and coordination skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily security operations, staffing requirements and guard deployments
- Assist with filling open shifts, call-outs and last-minute coverage requirements
- Monitor guard attendance, check-ins, late arrivals and shift completion
- Communicate shift instructions, site procedures and client requirements to security personnel
- Maintain accurate schedules, employee records, site information and operational documentation
- Respond professionally to client requests and provide timely operational updates
- Review daily activity reports, incident reports, attendance records and site documentation
- Follow up on operational concerns, guard performance issues and client feedback
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding and training new security personnel
- Coordinate uniforms, equipment, licences and other guard requirements
- Support new-site launches, special events and temporary security assignments
- Conduct occasional site visits and guard inspections when required
- Escalate serious incidents, client complaints and disciplinary matters to senior management
- Work closely with the scheduling, administration, payroll and field operations teams
- Complete other operational duties assigned by management
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum two years of experience in security operations, scheduling, field supervision or a similar coordination role
- Previous experience working for a security company is strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of security guard operations, scheduling and incident-response procedures
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to remain calm and make practical decisions during urgent situations
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, email and scheduling or workforce-management systems
- Ability to handle confidential employee and client information professionally
- Valid BC Security Worker Licence is preferred
- Valid Class 5 BC driver’s licence and reliable transportation are preferred
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
- Must be able to work from our Surrey office Monday through Friday
- Occasional evening and weekend availability may be required based on operational needs

The ideal candidate is reliable, accountable and comfortable working in a fast-paced security environment. You should be able to communicate confidently with guards and clients, resolve daily operational challenges and know when an issue must be escalated to senior management.
Pay: $47,000.00-$53,371.29 per year
