Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Debate Teacher to inspire students in developing their critical thinking, public speaking, and argumentation skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in tutoring and teaching, with a strong emphasis on effective communication. Duties
- Plan and deliver engaging debate lessons that align with curriculum standards and student needs
- Coach students on argument construction, research techniques, and persuasive speaking skills
- Facilitate practice debates and provide constructive feedback to enhance student performance
- Organize debate competitions, workshops, and extracurricular activities to promote active participation
- Monitor student progress and maintain records of attendance, participation, and skill development
- Collaborate with other educators to integrate debate activities into broader academic programs
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages respectful discussion and critical thinking
Skills
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, preferably in debate or related fields
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex ideas and motivate students
- Classroom experience that demonstrates the ability to manage diverse groups of learners
- Excellent organizational skills to plan lessons, track progress, and coordinate activities
- Ability to inspire confidence and promote active engagement among students

Pay: $25.00-$45.00 per hour
