We’re looking for a Personal Lines Senior Underwriter to join our growing team!
As a Senior Personal Lines Underwriter in our Intact Group department, your work will have a big impact on the success of our business. You will be responsible for underwriting home and auto risks and making decisions everyday that contribute to profitable growth. You will be customer-focused in everything you do, building and maintaining positive relationships with our distribution networks and brokers. Make recommendations to improve efficiencies to enhance the team and customer experience.

Strong emphasis on building relationships with Brokers and supporting broker development
Analyze insurance submissions and recommend innovative solutions
Act with discipline and drive to outperform
Embrace change, improve every day and set high standards
Deliver second-to-none experiences while helping others
Minimum 3-5 years of Personal Lines underwriting experience
Strong track record of developing, mentoring and coaching teammates
Legendary sales and customer service skills with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with brokers
Strong negotiating skills and with business and technical savvy
Strong leadership, analytical and critical thinking skills
Self driven and ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Completion or commitment to achieve Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation
University degree/college diploma or equivalent work experience
