The Solar Lab is one of the fastest-growing media brands in the solar and energy storage industry. Through YouTube, our website, email, and social media channels, we help consumers make confident, informed decisions about solar equipment, home backup power, and energy independence.
The Role:
This is a hands-on role focused on media buying, ad creative, and conversion optimization. Your primary objective will be to turn our content and brand authority into more subscribers and revenue by driving high-intent traffic into our marketing funnels and continuously improving performance.
You'll work directly with the founders to launch campaigns, test new ideas, optimize creative, and uncover new opportunities for growth.
This role is ideal for someone who loves buying media, testing creative, and finding ways to improve conversion rates and acquire customers.
What You’ll Do
- Own and manage paid ads across Meta, Google and other relevant channels, with a focus on profitable subscriber growth.
- Build, test, and optimize campaigns, audiences, offers, and creative to improve key metrics such as ROAS, CPA, CPL, and conversion rates.
- Create, coordinate, and iterate on ad creative, messaging, hooks, and offers in partnership with our content team.
- Analyze campaign performance, build reporting dashboards, and identify opportunities to improve acquisition efficiency and scale.
- Oversee our lead nurturing and email automation strategy to ensure new subscribers are effectively converted and monetized.
- Support additional growth initiatives including affiliate optimization, website improvements, conversion rate optimization, and other projects that help expand and monetize The Solar Lab's audience without compromising brand trust
Experience Required
- 3+ years of experience in media buying and/or performance marketing,
- Proven experience planning, launching, and optimizing paid advertising campaigns across Meta Ads and Google Ads, with a strong understanding of campaign structure, audience targeting, creative testing, bidding strategies, and scaling.
- Strong understanding of performance metrics including ROAS, CPL, CTR, CAC, and conversion rate optimization (CRO), with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Proven experience briefing, testing, and optimizing ad creative, with a strong understanding of messaging, hooks, offers, UGC, static images, video ads, and creative performance across Meta and Google.
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms and marketing automation, including subscriber acquisition, nurturing, list segmentation, and deliverability
- Self-motivated, analytical, and resourceful, with excellent communication skills and the ability to take ownership in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience working with affiliate marketing, ecommerce or YouTube/creator businesses
- Experience with Webflow, Klaviyo or similar email marketing platforms
- Interest in solar and/or home improvement

Pay: $60,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
