Scope of Position:
Bow Cliff Seniors is looking for a positive and enthusiastic Summer Student who is currently enrolled in secondary or post-secondary programs, has a background in customer service and a strong sense of community spirit. The role of the Summer Student will involve:
- Welcoming and assisting our members and visitors at the front desk in person or on the phone.
- Interacting with the vulnerable senior sector on a day-to-day basis to build relationships and a continued welcoming environment for seniors at Bow Cliff.
- Learning administrative computer skills in managing confidential information in a database, such as data entry, editing, and proofing all input into our Records Management System.
- Processing financial transactions (cash, debit/credit and cheques).
- Assisting with the daily programming set up and take-down as required.
- Assisting the Executive Director and Office Manager with assignments as needed.
- Assisting the volunteers in their programs and events as needed, including coffee service.
- Assisting with the maintenance of social media and building the Bow Cliff Facebook and Instagram presence.
Pay: $18.00 per hour
