The Opportunity
We're looking for an analytical, detail-oriented Inventory Control Analyst to help drive inventory accuracy, efficiency, and profitability across our business.
In this role, you'll work closely with Sales, Operations, Finance, and Quality teams to ensure inventory is properly managed throughout its lifecycle—from receipt and storage through to sale and shipment. You'll use data, reporting, and process improvement initiatives to identify opportunities, solve problems, and help maximize the value of our inventory investment.

What You'll Do
- Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy across multiple business units
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions
- Analyze inventory performance, aging, costing, and material utilization
- Manage and support inventory reconciliation activities and annual physical inventory counts
- Identify and reduce excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory
- Coordinate the release and disposition of quality-held inventory
- Work with Sales and Operations to improve inventory flow and maximize material utilization
- Develop reports, metrics, and insights that support inventory-related decision-making
- Identify opportunities to reduce storage, handling, freight, and inventory carrying costs
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance inventory visibility and operational efficiency
What We're Looking For
- Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related field
- 3–7 years of experience in inventory control, supply chain, materials management, operations analysis, or a related role
- Experience working with ERP systems in a manufacturing, distribution, or processing environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI, SSRS, or similar platforms is considered an asset
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Experience
- Steel service center, metals distribution, manufacturing, or industrial operations experience
- Experience supporting physical inventory counts, reconciliations, and inventory investigations
- Knowledge of inventory management principles including inventory turns, aging, replenishment, and valuation
