Your Opportunity:
Reporting to and under the direct supervision of the Care Manager, the incumbent is responsible for the delivery of administrative support services for the ongoing operations of Children, Youth and Families, Addiction Mental Health Services, Urgent Crisis Services at the Stollery Children’s Hospital. Duties include; data entry and compiling statistical information; typing correspondence, all inquiries determining where to redirect calls, transcription of letters and mental health assessments for therapists and consulting psychiatrists; filing and photocopying; payroll entry, staff scheduling, reception duties, and answering and responding to intake calls, including booking appointments; and anticipating the needs and demands of the program. Please note that the current schedule is Monday to Friday days and this could change in the future depending on the needs of the clinic.

As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:
Post-Secondary Secretarial certificate required (related education or equivalent experience will be considered). Computer/software education or experience is essential. Knowledge of computer technology and applications including website administration, office or business application, database (VAX, Access, Oracle, ePeople, ARHMIS, eClinician, or other), PowerPoint, and spreadsheets is essential. Transcription experience and knowledge of transcription software such as EditScript is required. Excellent communication, organization, interpersonal, and public relations skills are essential.

Preferred Qualifications:
Other relevant Business or Office training is an asset. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and medical terminology is an asset. Minimum of 2-3 years progressively responsible experience in a Health/Mental Health care background is an asset.
