We're opening a boutique hotel in the heart of Gastown, and we're looking for someone special to be the heart of our guest experience. This isn't a big chain front desk. It's a personal space where every guest is remembered, every stay feels curated, and every "hello" and "goodbye" actually means something. If you light up around people from all over the world and have a natural gift for making strangers feel like old friends, we'd love to meet you!
What you'll do:
- Welcome guests warmly at check-in and send them off with a memorable goodbye at check-out.
- Get to know our hotel's story and character inside and out, and share your favourite hidden gems in Gastown like a true local host
- Handle the unexpected with a calm, can-do attitude, and keep your team in the loop.
- Help with luggage and stay comfortably on your feet, including stairs, throughout your shift.
- Speak another language? That's an incredible bonus for our international guests.
What we're looking for:
- Legally able to work in Canada
- Hospitality / Customer service experience is a plus
- A love for Gastown and its neighbourhood charm
- Warm, confident communication and sharp organizational skills
- Someone who takes pride in the small, thoughtful touches
Pay: $27/hr, full-time, plus tips/bonuses
