The Cold Lake Agricultural Society is seeking a reliable, motivated, and community-minded Office Assistant to join our team on a casual, as-needed basis. This position offers a variety of responsibilities and is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
Hours will vary depending on facility bookings, events, and seasonal activities. Some weeks may require more hours than others.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the day-to-day operations of the Agricultural Society office.
- Manage and coordinate the weekly Farmers' Market, including vendor communication and market-day operations.
- Complete the required Farmers' Market Manager online training course (or be willing to obtain certification upon hire).
- Perform light cleaning and general housekeeping duties throughout the facility.
- Assist with event setup and teardown, including moving tables, chairs, and equipment.
- Provide administrative support to the office and Board of Directors as required.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for facility users and visitors.
- Complete other duties as assigned to support the operations of the Cold Lake Agricultural Society.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible and dependable with a willingness to work varying hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.
- Comfortable performing light physical work, including lifting, setting up tables and chairs, and general event preparation.
- Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office are considered an asset.
- Customer service experience is an asset.
