Express Employment Professionals is currently recruiting for an Industrial Cleaner candidate for a local manufacturing company in Barrie, ON
Our client is seeking an individual with experience cleaning in a industrial work setting. As a Cleaner/Janitor, you will look after all the basic cleaning in and around the facility or office building. This can entail dusting, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and cleaning smudges off windows and doors. Ensuring restrooms are cleaned, sanitized, and restocked is another important responsibility of a cleaner.
Monday - Friday
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping the plant Run floor cleaning machineoffice, and lunchroom floor
- ● Clean restrooms and restock as needed
- ● Sanitize furniture and surfaces in the plant, office and lunchroom
- ● Wipe down cafeteria tables, countertops, microwaves, and refrigerators.
- ● Restock cafeteria supplies as required (i.e. paper towel, dish soap, etc.)
- ● Keep coffee machines clean and stocked, advise leadership when stock levels are low
- ● Empty trash and recycling
- ● Clean snow in the winter (entrance ways)
- ● Wash windows, inside and outside
- ● Make sure the establishment is clean and meets all safety requirements
- ● Breakdown wood crates and organize for disposal
- ● Comply with all applicable OHSA, ESA and other provincial regulatory laws, as well as
- company safety policies
- ● Any other duties as assigned by the Senior Leadership team.
Job Qualifications & Requirements
- High School diploma preferred
- ● 1-year experience preferred
- ● Ability to operate industrial chemical equipment or snow removal equipment
- ● Skill to make minor repairs (drywall repair, paint restorations, etc.)
- ● Ability to work independently
- ● Understanding of health and safety regulations
- ● Ability to keep an organized record of cleaning supply inventory
- ● Ability to perform maintenance checks on the ventilation system
- ● Problem-solving skills
