What we need:
The Systems Analyst contributes to the continued success of the organization by developing and enabling actionable reporting and insights to drive operational performance. The Analyst gathers Business Intelligence (BI) requirements from various business units within the hospital and delivers on those requirements as part the overall Business Analytics team. The team provides dashboards, scorecards, reports, and data analysis in support of strategic and operational objectives, creating visibility to key organization metrics, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Some key activities in this role include:

Gathering and documenting user requirements for Business Intelligence (BI) products and data analytics
Specifying and building dashboards, scorecards, tools, and reports that support strategic and operational goals
Developing and maintaining database Extract, Translate, and Load (ETL) processes and BI visualizations and reports
Developing and providing data analytics for internal customers and business partners
Providing support and training for BI tools to business partners
Responding to ad hoc requests for data and analysis
Assisting with database administration tasks
Developing and maintaining logical BI data models that support needs that are currently defined while being adaptable to future needs
Developing and maintaining naming and object organization standards in collaboration with the BI team
Documenting all aspects of BI tool structure and maintain departmental policies and procedures related to same

Compensation:
BAND L: $37.11 - $45.25 per hour

What you bring to MSH:
University degree in Computer Science or other related discipline
3 – 5 years of previous relevant experience, ideally in the healthcare sector
Expertise with advanced Structured Query Language (SQL) preferably within Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL database administration and the development of BI artifacts; IBI Webfocus experience an asset
Experience with and clear understanding of Dimensional Data Modelling
Extensive report writing and data visualization experience
Understanding of health information system and data, ideally Meditech and Med2020
Strong project management skills
Proven analytical, consultative and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, including a proactive customer-focused approach
Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
Self-directed, action-oriented, collaborative, and adept team player
Demonstrated commitment to personal growth and development
Demonstrated good attendance record with the ability to maintain this same standard
