LONG TERM CARE NURSE (RN/RPN)
VICTORIAN HOSP OF KASLO
We are currently seeking casual Long Term Care Nurses, Registered Nurses or Registered Psychiatric Nurses to join our team at the Victorian Hospital of Kasko, B.C.
The RN or RPN practices in a variety of clinical settings and is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of resident care. Working in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, the RN or RPN ensures the delivery of resident–centered care by assisting individual residents and their families respond to changing health care needs. The RN or RPN demonstrates a specialized body of knowledge and bases practice on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities.
Victorian Community LTC, forms part of the Victorian Community Health Centre of Kaslo. Our long-term care services embodies a resident-centered philosophy designed to support residents’ choices, help people function at their highest level, and provide the best quality of life possible.
This facility has 18 long-term care beds:
three double occupancy rooms with shared bathroom; two single rooms with shared bathroom; and 10 private rooms with bathrooms.
Rotating shift types are days, evenings and nights; shift times are from 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00 hours.

Education, Training and Experience:
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Post - basic education in gerontology an asset.
