As our company continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced General Carpenter to join our team in a lead role.
The Opportunity
This is not an entry-level position, nor are we looking for another set of hands.
We’re looking for a carpenter who takes ownership of their work, leads by example, and can confidently complete projects with minimal supervision. You’ll work alongside our team while also taking responsibility for smaller projects and day-to-day tasks independently.

Responsibilities
- Work alongside the owner and construction team to deliver high-quality residential projects.
- Lead smaller jobs and daily site operations when required.
- Perform structural framing and framing modifications.
- Install windows, doors, siding, soffit, fascia and exterior finishes.
- Build decks, covered porches and other exterior structures.
- Complete interior finish carpentry including trim, doors, hardware and millwork.
- Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and maintain a safe, organized job site.
- Ensure all work meets Engel Custom Homes’ quality standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of residential carpentry experience.
- Strong skills from framing through finish carpentry.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Professional attitude and strong work ethic.
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation.

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
Work Location: On the road
