Job Description
North-West Lines (NWL) is looking to fill several full time vacancies on our highway and road line painting crews. NWL is a dynamic and expanding company with opportunity for advancement and support for training and development.
This position will be directly involved in the pavement marking operations while driving a buffer vehicle as part of the traffic control for the operation. The position will also support the crews through material unloading and delivery throughout the region.
Job duties will include but are not limited to:
- driving a 3-5 ton single axle truck as part of the pavement marking traffic control operation.
- Drive buffer vehicle as part of mobile line painting operations.
- driving tandem axle flatbed truck with tag along forklift
- loading and unloading transport trucks
- moving inventory from central hubs to smaller depots around the region
- inventory monitoring and reporting
- maintaining, cleaning, and inspecting equipment
- minor equipment repairs
- assist painting crew with material loading into tanks
- lifting up to 50 lbs
- site cleanup
Job requirements:
- must be willing and able to work out of town for the duration of the summer, home every other weekend (out of town expenses covered by NWL).
- valid DZ licence and experience is mandatory
- forklift license and experience is mandatory
- must be able to work as part of a team
- excellent communication skills
- detailed record keeping
