Position: Courier Dispatcher
Location: Vaughan ON
Type of Employment: Full-Time
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure all courier and LTL calls are dispatched to appropriate driver
- Update dispatch system with appropriate information
- Answer emails pertaining to dispatch
- Work with Inbound and appointments to ensure all freight is delivered on time
- Assist answering dispatch lines
- Assist with setting up and organize overflow deliveries and appointments P&D carriers
- Assist in preparing courier driver run sheets
- Ensure all specials are serviced accordingly
- Liase with departments as required
- Assist with booking drivers for next day Appointment
- *Any additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two -five years transportation related experience
- Previous Dispatch experience
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills
- Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced, multi-task environment
- General Computer Skills
- Geographical knowledge
