Edmonton Family Law is a boutique law firm in Edmonton, Alberta.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients in family law matters
- Represent clients in divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, and other family law cases
- Draft and review legal documents such as contracts, agreements, and court pleadings
- Conduct legal research to support client cases and stay updated on relevant laws and regulations
- Negotiate settlements and mediate disputes between parties
- Prepare for and attend court hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings
- Advocate for clients' rights and best interests throughout the legal process
- Maintain client confidentiality and uphold ethical standards
Requirements:
- A law degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice law in Alberta, in good standing with the Law Society of Alberta
- Proven experience practicing family law, with a focus on divorce, child custody, and related matters
- Strong knowledge of family law statutes, regulations, and case precedents
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Professional demeanor and strong client service orientation
