Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Project Coordinator / Estimator for the Demolition division for an 18 month maternity leave position. The successful candidate will assist with estimating, tender preparation, project coordination, documentation, procurement, and communication between clients, subcontractors, suppliers, supervisors, and internal team members. This role is well suited for someone who is organized, proactive & comfortable reading construction documents. This role is in a small office environment and therefore there is also some admin support in the position.
Responsibilities
- Review drawings, specifications, tender documents, site conditions, and project requirements.
- Prepare estimates, budgets, pricing summaries, and tender submissions.
- Source pricing from suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Identify and report potential discrepancies, conflicts, delays, or cost impacts.
- Coordinate communication between clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, supervisors, and internal team members.
- Assist with procurement of materials, tools, and equipment required for projects.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for estimates, tenders, project documents, contracts, schedules, reports, and correspondence.
- Support compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
Provide general administrative and project support, including data entry, scheduling, correspondence, and document preparation
Requirements
- Previous experience in estimating, project coordination, construction administration, or a related role is preferred.
- Experience in construction industry is considered an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, tender documents, and construction details.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Comfortable working with numbers, measurements, budgets, and pricing.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with estimating or project management software is considered an asset.
Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
