We are seeking a skilled and reliable Vehicle Paint Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and refinishing vehicles to industry standards while maintaining efficiency and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicles for painting (sanding, masking, priming, cleaning)
- Mix and match paint to required color specifications
- Apply basecoat, clear coat, and specialty finishes
- Perform spot repairs and panel blending as needed
- Inspect completed work to ensure high-quality standards
- Maintain spray booth and painting equipment
- Follow all safety and environmental guidelines
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth workflow
Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, masking, and cleaning prior to refinishing
- Apply primers, paints, clear coats, and other finishes using spray guns and hand tools
- Match paint colors accurately to vehicle specifications using color matching systems
- Perform repairs on damaged panels or surfaces as needed before refinishing
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and equipment
- Follow safety protocols and proper handling procedures for hazardous materials
- Collaborate with technicians and service advisors to meet repair deadlines and quality standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of automotive painting experience
- Strong understanding of refinishing processes and materials
- Experience with waterborne paint systems preferred
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to meet production timelines
- Valid driver’s license
