looking for an experienced Sous Chef / Lead Line Cook to join our team.
We are an independent, family-owned Southern Italian restaurant that has been serving Toronto for over 25 years. This is not a corporate kitchen. We cook from scratch, change features regularly, and take pride in honest food, strong ingredients, and consistency.
We are looking for someone who can step into a leadership role in the kitchen, work independently, and help us maintain the standards our guests expect.
What You'll Do
- Execute service on pasta, sauté, grill, and prep stations
- Assist with daily production and mise en place
- Help maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation
- Support inventory control and receiving deliveries
- Assist with menu features and seasonal specials
- Maintain a clean, organized, professional kitchen
- Work closely with ownership and kitchen team members
- Help train and support junior staff when required
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of professional cooking experience
- Strong understanding of Italian cuisine and fresh pasta
- Experience working busy dinner services
- Ability to work all stations confidently
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Food Handler Certification preferred
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
