Senior Manager, Tax & Advisory | $160,000–$190,000 | North York (Hybrid)
At some point in a tax career, being given more files stops feeling like progression.
The interesting bit is being given more influence.
This Senior Manager opportunity is with an established CPA firm looking for someone who can operate beyond the traditional compliance cycle: leading complex tax engagements, advising clients, developing staff and becoming one of the senior technical voices within the practice.
You’ll work across corporate tax compliance and planning, reorganizations, cross-border matters and more complex advisory work, with exposure to privately owned businesses, high-net-worth families and international business groups.
There is still compliance. There has to be.
But the value of this role is what happens before and after the return is filed.

- Hybrid working
- North York location
- Senior leadership position within the tax practice
- Complex corporate tax compliance and planning

- High-net-worth and privately owned client base
- Trust, estate and succession planning exposure
- CRA audit, objection and dispute work
- Direct involvement with senior client relationships
- Opportunity to mentor and develop a tax team
- Genuine scope to influence how the practice develops
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead and review complex corporate tax engagements
- Advise clients on corporate tax planning and restructuring opportunities
- Work on Canadian and international tax matters, including inbound and outbound structures
- Support corporate reorganizations, holding company structures and other tax-efficient transactions
- Advise privately owned businesses, shareholders and high-net-worth clients
- Oversee tax compliance and ensure technically complex files are completed accurately
- Support clients through CRA audits, reviews, objections and other tax matters
- Manage senior client relationships and act as a trusted technical advisor
- Review work prepared by Managers and other members of the tax team
- Coach and develop staff while helping improve processes and technical standards
- Work closely with Partners on complex planning and advisory engagements

- Experience reviewing complex corporate tax returns and related filings
- Strong corporate tax planning experience
