Position Overview
Toronto Kids Dental is looking for a friendly, reliable, and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team on Saturdays only. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our young patients and their families and will help create a welcoming, positive, and professional experience from check-in to check-out.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients and families warmly and professionally upon arrival.
- Check patients in and out and ensure all required information is accurate and up to date.
- Answer incoming phone calls, take messages, and respond to patient inquiries.
- Schedule, confirm, reschedule, and manage patient appointments.
- Maintain an organized and efficient reception area.
- Communicate with parents and guardians regarding appointments, treatment plans, and general office inquiries.
- Process patient payments and provide receipts.
- Assist with billing and insurance-related administrative tasks as required.
- Maintain accurate patient records and protect patient confidentiality.
- Coordinate with dentists, dental assistants, and other team members to ensure smooth patient flow.
- Complete general administrative and front-desk duties.
- Assist with opening and closing duties as required.
- Provide exceptional customer service while creating a fun, welcoming environment for children and families.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous dental reception or dental office experience is an asset.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Friendly, positive, and professional personality.
- Comfortable working with children and families.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask in a busy dental office environment.
- Comfortable using Dentrix.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, billing, and insurance is an asset.
- Reliable and punctual with the ability to commit to every Saturday.
- Ability to work independently while also being an effective team member.
