Job Description

To perform all activities related to Quality Control and Quality Assurance and inspection of work packages completed and to be sold off to the client (i.e. all welding and bolt-up assemblies). To work and co-operate with project Team to ensure the Quality Control program is executed and client quality requirements are achieved. Inspecting work to ensure conformance with specifications defined in the job package.

Responsibilities

  • Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, rejecting and returning unacceptable materials
  • Approve in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurements test, communicating required adjustments to job foreman.
  • Approves finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, confirming re-work.
  • Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing re-work and waste, inputting data into quality database
  • Perform all daily inspection and test of the scope and character necessary to achieve the quality required in the drawings and specifications for all work under the contract performed ON or OFF site.
  • Carry out inspection and checking for all quality related procedures in all channels and ensures activity on all jobs are as per approved method statement and inspection test plan.
  • Coordinate with client’s QA/QC departments for inspections and meetings about quality control problems including the closure of Non-Compliance Reports.

  • Taking care of QA/QC documents of the entire project including certificates, calibrations, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports, materials delivered and other QA/QC documents. Responsible for the closure of Non-conformance, NCR
  • Carry out Internal Audits
  • Accomplish the Quality Control functions/activities of a project or its parts, including Quality Control inspection schedules and the collection of Quality Records.
  • Dealing with the Client on all the Quality Control matters.
  • Develop and Assesses the implementation of the Quality Plan and Quality Control Plans in the shop.
  • Doing inspections, reports, archiving documentation and collect and file the required Quality Control Records.
  • Evaluates the qualifications of welders and Non Destructive Test-NDT technicians with regard to the activities assigned.
  • Perform, support and participate in all internal/external audits.
  • Perform and supports the Welding & Non Destructive Test-NDT qualification activities.
  • Cooperates to issue the Welding Procedures (WPS).

Qualifications:

  • API 653, API 570, API 571, CWB level 1, 5 years of welding, journeyman welder.
  • Minimum 5 years experience inspecting fabrication projects.
  • Knowledge of shop fabrication processes for custom weld procedures.
  • Strong communication skills and demonstrated success in customer interaction.
  • Organization and ability to prioritize multiple tasks is a must.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Fluent in the English language, verbal and written
  • Drafting and Blueprint experience in auto cad.
